Rachael’s Room
At Rachael’s Room we value and respect each child and their family. We provide a stimulating environment for children to learn and develop. We offer children in our service a safe and happy place where they can feel respected and loved. We focus on the development of the child and on providing them with an experience rich in opportunity where they can explore and discover. We strive to awaken a child’s interests and instil in them a lifelong love of learning.
Rachael’s Room ensures an inclusive culture, recognising that every child is an individual and has their own learning style. Rachael’s Room will promote and nurture the identity of each child attending the service and ensure that their emotional and physical well-being is of paramount importance at all times.
Our best practices and curriculum come from a variety of sources and Early Education theorists. We focus on Aistear, the early childhood curriculum framework and Síolta, the national quality framework. An important part of our best practice is recognising each child’s interests and building our curriculum around them.

Rachael’s Room opened in Scoil Bhríde Shelagh in September 2016 and is run by Rachael Conlon. Rachael holds a Level 8 BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Education from Dublin Institute of Technology and has many years experience in the sector.
Rachael’s Room provides quality, affordable Early Years Education to the local community.
Rachael’s Room operates on a term time basis alongside Scoil Bhríde. We run our Preschool class in the morning from 9.15am to 12.15pm for our free ECCE and Preschool places. We also run a toddler group on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 12.30pm to 3.00pm for children aged 2pm to 3pm.
Rachael’s Room runs a Morning Club for children in Scoil Bhríde from 8.15am to 9.15am when school starts.
We also provide an after school Link Hour for children in Junior and Senior infants from 2pm to 3pm each day.
We also operate various Summer, Easter and break camps throughout the year to coincide with school holidays.
